Meadow Quad 와 The Great Hall
Christ Church로 들어가기 위해서는 베네치아 고딕 양식으로 지어진 Meadow Building을 통해야 했다.
교직원과 학생의 기숙사로 사용되는 이 건물은 아일랜드 건축가 TN Deane이 설계를 했다고 한다.
Meadow Quad로 입장하면 곧바로 건축가 GF Bodley (Thomas Bodley가 아니다)가 설계한 보드리 타워로 이어진다.
이 타워에는 루이스와 해리 포터를 포함한 여러 영화와 TV 프로젝트에 사용된 홀 계단실(Hall Staircase)이 있다.
이 계단실을 지나 유명한 The Great Hall로 입장할 수 있다.
The Great Hall
1520년대 완성된 이 홀은 지금까지 식당으로 사용되고 있으며
벽에는 WH Auden 부터 Judith Pallot 교수까지 컬리지를 빛낸 유명인사들의 초상화가 걸려 있고
맨 끝에는 Christ Church의 설립자인 헨리8세(Henry VIII)의 초상화가 자리하고 있다.
홀의 맨 끝에는 이 컬리지의 고위 인사들이 식사를 한다는 하이테이블(High Table)이 마련되어 있었다.
The Great Hall의 모든 창은 Christ Church의 화려한 유산을 기념하는 내용의 스테인드글라스로 장식되어 있다.
