1차 세계대전 이후 Cornwall 로 이주한 Rowena Cade가 그녀의 정원사였던 Billy Rawlings와 함께
자신들만의 힘으로 돌을 나르고 시멘트를 발라 직접 만든 해안가 절벽 위의 소극장이다.
Rawlings가 극장을 완성시키지 못하고 죽자,
Miss Cade는 자기 혼자의 힘으로 직접 이 공연장을 완성하였다고 한다.
